We came to Gascony from Canada fifteen years ago in search of adventure and challenge of which there has been no shortage. It was love at first site with this lesser know region of France. We were enchanted by the rolling hillsides, the ancient villages and the warm welcome of the people who have an appreciation for the simpler things in life.

In the heart of the Armagnac region we took on the restoration of an old wood-turner's cottage which set in an acre of land surrounded by vineyards. We were captivated by the magic of the place and the beauty of the views. It took two full years to restore the house and gardens and create a comfortable home. We mixed antiques and modern comforts amidst the old oak beams and terra-cotta tiles and added personal touches to create a delightful home.

We will be there to greet you on your arrival at Au Tourneur. The house will be ready to receive you, with the beds made and all the linens and supplies you require. You will also find our handbook full of essential information and recommendations, providing you with a wealth of information and insight into the local area.

Attention has been given to allow you to enjoy and respect this private home in complete tranquility. Be our guests and bask in the sun on the pool-side terrace or explore this historic region with all its festive traditions and celebrated cuisine.
